 · FXDWG When changing the transmission main shaft seal, do I need to remove the inner bearing race using a puller or can I change the seal just by removing the drive pulley. I'm asking because I'm ordering tools and if I have to pull the race I'll need a puller. Thanks.

FRONT SEAL ON THE FWD IS LEAKING alot OF OIL INTO..DRIVE

i have a john mfwd with hours and the front seal on the fwd is leaking alot of oil into the rim, it started a 100 hours ago, and has gotten alot worse, i have time now to tear down. is this a relative simple task, or do i need to remove or replace drive axle etc or just the seal and possible bushing.

 · I made up a driver out of PVC pipe. 1 1/2 inch pipe cut to the length of the bushing plus the amount in a coupling, then about 20 inches of pipe then an end cap. The bushing end needs to be shaved down a bit so the new bushing slides on easily. Put it in place and drive it in. I coated the out side of the bushing with lock tight.
